I follow a very simple system suggested by our company that the 6-7 figure income earners year after year have followed. I like the idea of using the book as a prospecting tool. Handing them the book and making an appointment to pick it up not only gives you a great next step, it gives them something to really think about!

Many people are using the book as a Sponsoring Tool. They ask the person they want to sponsor to read the section that pertains to them (single mom, business woman, or the history part). Then create urgency, say, "I'll be back over Wed at 3pm to pick up the book because it is my only copy and I have people wanting to read it." When you pick up the book you say,"What part intrigued you or What part did you like best?" You have a way to open the dialogue with the other person!

One of the Millionaire Women from my book said, " You can not say the right thing to the wrong person, nor the wrong thing to the right person." This hit me like a ton of bricks. We all worry about saying the 'right words'. It's not the words--it's the person. To attract and sponsor the person you want...Be that person. I have to admit that this just connected with me today, let's say another "ah-ha!" moment! I've been struggling with sponsoring/recruiting and realized that I've been focusing on the wrong "type" of person. People who are stuck where they are, complain about it, but just don't have the desire to change it. I always assumed it was me, that I wasn't sharing the business the right way - because who WOULDN'T want this business right? Well, this morning I met a woman on my commute into NYC and had such a pleasant conversation. I thought, now THIS is the type of person I want to be in business with! We have so much in common! It finally clicked.
